We're on the lookout for great Rails developers to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining web applications and financial modelling tools. You’ll be flexible and open to learning new technologies required to satisfy changing demands. You’ll be comfortable working to tight deadlines in a dynamic, client driven environment.
Requirements
- Excellent end-to-end Rails knowledge
- Strong front-end web development experience, confident with HTML/CSS/JavaScript (preferably jQuery)
- 3 or more years commercial experience
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles and best practices
- Self-sufficient but happy working under the guidance of other developers, following the team's conventions and processes
- Legal right to work in the UK
Desirable
- Love of the Unix command line (our deployment environment is typically Debian/Apache/Postgres/Passenger/Rails)
- TDD/BDD with RSpec/Cucumber or alternatives
- SVN, GIT, Capistrano
- PostgreSQL
