TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

The role
You will be part of our development team, responsible for designing, building and maintaining web applications and financial modelling tools. You’ll be flexible and open to learning new technologies required to satisfy changing demands. You’ll be comfortable working to deadlines in a dynamic, client driven environment.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related degree (2nd class or better)
• 3 years or more, preferably client facing, commercial experience
• Ability to demonstrate strong database design and development skills
• Strong grasp of software engineering principles and best practices
• Exposure to a wide variety of languages, tools and platforms

Technologies - We don’t expect you to have experience of all the following, however this list should give a flavour of our work, and obviously any past experience will be beneficial:

• Javascript & AJAX
• PHP

Our portfolio of IT related products & services include market leading graphical financial modellers, HR performance management software, timesheet software, custom solution design and implementation, pension scheme websites, and interactive CD-ROMs.

Due to the financial nature of much of our work a strong mathematical aptitude is required.
